Organic fairtrade smoked black pepper PGI from Kampot - direct producer

Our organic & fairtrade smoked black pepper PGI from Kampot is ranked among the best peppers in the world.
It benefits from the prestigious PGI label, protected geographical indication, a French label which guarantees internationally, the geographical area of their production as well as the know-how used in their development.
Cold smoking for long hours accentuates its woody side and gives it warm, round, slightly liquorice notes, with a very nice length in the mouth.
It gives it a subtle and elegant scent.
It is produced by a cooperative established in Kampot.
Only the ripe pepper clusters with grains of a beautiful dark green color are picked by hand one by one.
The day's harvest is processed the same day.
The bunches are deseeded then the grains are selected, washed, scalded and dried in the sun for 2 to 3 days.
The grains are then selected by hand by their density and their size which must, according to IGP rules, be greater than 4 mm.
It is a pepper with character that will enhance your dishes, drinks and desserts.
It is a product from organic farming, certified by Ecocert.
Once the package has been opened, we advise you to keep the product in a cool, dry place, away from light and humidity, so that it retains all its nutritional and taste qualities.
This product does not contain any allergens, however it may contain traces (eggs, soy, sulphur, nuts, etc.).
